Larry Ryan joined Cole Taylor Bank in 2008 as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. He is a member of the Bank’s Executive Management Committee and is responsible for expanding Cole Taylor Bank’s commercial banking business with privately held, middle-market and small cap public companies in Chicago and the Midwest. He currently oversees a number of divisions for the Bank, including Commercial Banking, Financial Institutions, Treasury Management, Private Banking, Public Funds, and Specialty Lending. Through these divisions, the Bank focuses on creating value for its clients by effectively meeting their needs, from custom tailored financing to cash management services to international banking.

Mr. Ryan has more than 30 years of in-depth experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Cole Taylor, Mr. Ryan had a 27-year career with LaSalle Bank where he held a leadership role in building the Metropolitan Banking Group, a business banking unit that served privately held companies in Chicago with sales between $10 million and $250 million. He served as group senior vice president of the division and was responsible for the management of 100 banking associates.

Mr. Ryan serves on the Executive Committee of the Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholars Foundation and is a member of the Board of Advisors for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. He is also a member of the Bankers Club of Chicago, Butterfield Country Club, and the University of Illinois Alumni Association.

He earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He currently resides in Glenview, Illinois with his wife, Jan.
