Barbara Wilson began her career with Cole Taylor Bank in 2002 as a senior vice president and manager of business banking teams in Wheeling and Lombard, Illinois. Today, she oversees the Financial Institutions Department. Her team specializes in providing consultation to financial institutions with assets of $100 million to $2.5 billion on the issues of strategic and capital planning, credit administration, and treasury management.

During her 27-year banking career, Ms. Wilson has managed commercial banking teams serving the needs of money center banks and community banks. She began her career in the commercial banking department at Continental Bank in Chicago where she built relationships with a large network of community correspondent banks and served on the executive management team of Continental Bank of Buffalo Grove.

After the sale of Continental Bank, Ms. Wilson established her own business, Wilson Consulting, and worked with more than 20 local community banks on planning, credit and sales training.

She is a long-time member of the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA), having served on the Government Relations committee and as a speaker at the first IBA De Novo conference in 2007. She was elected to the IBA Board of Directors for the 2012-2013 term.

Ms. Wilson graduated from Loyola University, Chicago with a degree in English and a minor in Organizational Psychology.

She currently resides in Arlington Heights, Illinois with her husband, Allan, and one of their four children.
