What is CTSecure Online
Account Authentication?
The CTSecure
Online Account Authentication solution
is an enhanced online security feature
that will be a standard part of your ColeTaylor
Online login.
As a part of Cole Taylor's
ongoing commitment to help protect you against
identity theft and fraud, the CTSecure solution
provides you added safety by helping ensure
that only you can access your
bank account.

CTSecure provides
both site-to-user authentication and
user- to-site authentication.

CTSecure includes
an image and a unique caption that will
always display before you
are asked to enter your password.

By
verifying that your image is correct,
you will know that the site you are visiting
is Cole Taylor's web site and not a “spoof” site.

At
the same time, CTSecure allows
us to evaluate your computer to ensure
that the login is not a fraudulent attempt
to access your account information.

When you first enroll in CTSecure,
we ask you to provide answers to three challenge
questions. If there is ever an attempt to access
your account(s) that we do not recognize, we
will ask these questions.
What
you need to remember about CTSecure Online
Account Authentication:
Once
you have signed up, NEVER enter sensitive
information such as you password without
seeing your image first.

How ColeTaylor's CTSecure Online
Account Authentication Works:
1. Input your user
ID and click 'Log In'.
2. If your computer
is recognized by our systems, we will display
your CTSecure image
and caption.
Your Caption: 
3. If your computer
is not recognized, we will ask you one of
your secret challenge questions. If you answer
correctly, then we will display your image
and caption.
4. Only after seeing
your image and caption should you input your
password to gain access to your Internet
banking accounts.
First
Time CTSecure Online
Account Authentication Enrollement
is Easy:

Select
ColeTaylor Online from the dropdown menu
on Cole Taylor Bank's homepage. |
| 2. |
You will
be prompted to select an image and enter
a related caption that will be used later
to identify the web site during login. During
enrollment, you also select and answers three
challenge questions that can be used if necessary
to verify your identity. |

Note: CTSecure enrollment
also creates a unique cookie that is stored
on the computer and in the CTSecure database
and is used to identify the device you
used to enroll. |

You then
navigate to the ColeTaylor Online Login
Page. This page prompts you to enter only
your User ID. (A password is not yet required.) |

If your User
ID is valid and the device is recognized,
the CTSecure Login
Page is displayed showing the image and corresponding
caption you selected at enrollment. |

If the device
is not recognized (i.e. the cookie is not
found) then the system displays one of the
challenge questions. At this point, you can
choose whether to register the device or
not. |

Once you
and the device are authenticated, enter your
valid password on the ColeTaylor Online Login
Page. |

there have been attempts by "fraudsters" to
steal your identity by impersonating the
web sites you trust. |

to trick people into revealing their personal
information, such as passwords, by creating
fake web sites that look very much like the
sites of legitimate financial institutions. CTSecure is
an enhanced security feature that helps us
to proactively protect you against such attacks.
By making sure you see your CTSecure image
and caption before you enter your password,
you can be sure you are not entering a fraudulent
site. |

you can be sure that we also recognize you
as the true owner of your account. If we
don’t recognize your computer, we will
ask you one of your challenge questions as
an additional line of defense against unauthorized
access to your accounts. |

PLEASE NOTE:
Cole Taylor Bank will never request personal financial information via email.
We advise our customers never to respond to unsolicited requests for personal
financial information such as your Social Security Number or financial
account numbers, regardless of whether such requests are made via telephone,
mail, or e-mail. Be wary of emails containing links to authentic-looking
web sites that ask for sensitive or identifying financial information.
Should you receive
any e-mails requesting personal information,
such as user IDs, passwords and security question
information, please delete the email without
responding. If you have any questions or feel
you have been a victim of a "phishing" e-mail
